There was a Chili cook off at work yesterday and I am proud to say that I came in 3rd place. Now before you start laughing and wondering how many entries there were, it was 7.
The funniest thing about this is I do not like nor do I eat Chili. The first time that I ever made Chili was 3 weeks ago. Johnny was up and I made some just for fun, he and Debbie and Mary seemed to like it a lot. So when the announcement came out about the Chili cook off I decided to enter.
Does everyone know that when you buy the package of McCormacks Chili Seasoning, there is a recipe on the back? Well it calls for hamburger meat, tomato sauce and 1 package of McCormacks Chili Seasoning, that's it and I came in 3rd!!!!

I am sure that Daddy is so proud of you that some of his culinary expertise is rubbing off on you by way of osmosis. Just kidding love you we had a chill cook off at Arrow in Indy one year and the winner was a bowl of chill from Wendy's.
Good for you Carol! I'm actually shocked you didn't come in 1st! By the way, wendys does have great chili--just buy some and enetr that the next time :)
That made me laugh out loud. I love chili but mine is good one time and terrible the next. Now I know the secret!
